My name is Lucas Green
Design without Horizons

Lucas is an award-winning illustrator and animator based in Vancouver, Canada. He creates fantastical worlds for film and TV, including work on SyFy’s Vagrant Queen and Astrid and Lilly Save the World, as well as the long-running CBC Kids Gumboot Kids series. Lucas recently published his first graphic novel, King Warrior, and is co-creator of the webcomic The Constant Star. When he isn’t tied down to a drawing desk, Lucas can be found wandering the coastal rainforests with his adventure dog, Kuiper.

What I do
A particular set of skills

Concept Design

Preproduction art for film & television.

Story boards

Storyboards and key art for preproduction.

Movie posters, pitch decks, series bibles, title wordmarks and logo design.

Animation & VFX

Animated title sequences, motion graphics, and cinematic visual effects.

But it is Lucas Green’s illustrations that really stand out here. Not only does he seamlessly transition from one world to the next, but his use of colour, especially in the magical world of Jayrikas, makes readers feel like they have been transported to the Great White North and are watching the Aurora Borealis on a cold winter’s night.
